Congratulations to Patrick Shepherd who has recently achieved his Level 3 Diploma in Design & Draughting and Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Design & Draughting.Patrick has been following a Design Technician Apprenticeship Framework, working extensively with CAD packages such as AutoCAD and PDMS. As well as gaining background information and experience within each discipline KHI has to offer, which include; Process Engineering, Piping and Pressure Systems, Civil and Structural, Mechanical / Materials Handling, Electrical and Instrumentation and Control.In September 2015, Patrick will attend Teesside University for one day a week, and continue studying for a BEng Mechanical Engineering Degree. He will continue to gain 'on the job' experience.Andrew Harris, Process Engineering Manager for KHI and a mentor to all the apprentices within the company said "Congratulations to Patrick on successfully completing his apprenticeship. Patrick is developing his career within the mechanical department and continuing his studies in mechanical engineering will further strengthen his and knowledge and the company's capability in this area."Amanda McMahon Manager of Engineering commented on Patrick's achievement; "I am very pleased Patrick has completed his studies with flying colours. He already has a great reputation within KHI, as he is a team player and has excellent working knowledge of the company software.
