Apprenticeships completed ahead of time - well done to Grant and Alex!

Grant Anderson and Alex Bottomley of K Home International (KHI) have successfully completed their Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Design and Draughting.Both Grant and Alex have been following a Design Technician Apprenticeship Framework, working extensively with CAD packages such as AutoCAD and PDMS. As well as gaining background information and experience within each discipline KHI has to offer, which include; Process Engineering, Piping and Pressure Systems, Civil and Structural, Mechanical / Materials Handling, Electrical and Instrumentation and Control.In September 2016, after completing their HNC's they will both go into their respective departments. Grant will be based within the civil and structural department, he will attend Teesside University for one day a week, and will be studying towards a BEng Civil and Structural Engineering Degree part time over 3 years.Alex will be based in the electrical department, he too, will attend Teesside University for one day a week, to study towards a BEng Electrical Engineering Degree. Both will continue to gain 'on the job' experience alongside qualified engineers.Amanda McMahon, Manager of Engineering for KHI and advocate for Apprenticeships commented on their recent achievements;"Congratulations to Alex and Grant on successfully completing their apprenticeships ahead of time, this will allow them to concentrate on completing their HNC studies as the final piece of their overall qualifications.
